There are only 2 buttons: Flop left and flop right.  You can use the arrow keys, mouse buttons, or A and D.

Post-jam updates:

Now you can use a controller!  Triggers and sticks will both flop left and right. There's also an optional mouse analog control (disabled by default) where the mouse how far left or right from the center of the screen the mouse cursor is determines how much left or right the fish will flop.

Some notes:
I used freesound.org assets by ralph.whitehead and davidgtr1 just for the ambient background loop.  All other assets were created by me.  Bot524 helped with the water shader.  GobsmackGoose came up with the name idea of "FWOP" (a nice homage to QWOP, an older Bennett Foddy game).  I was originally calling it Flappy Fish.

Tools used: Godot Engine, blender, Reaper, Pianoteq.

The game may be stuttery when played in web, so I would recommend downloading the native Windows or Linux version for a better fish flopping experience.

Nice to see the game from the Twitch stream ;-)

Oh man, it is hard an all progress can be wiped out quickly ;-). Fun and definitely worth to check out. You put a lot of effort in making it.

I had a problem with a web version. I got a pretty much a freeze, although I was able to kill the tab. Checked on: MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2018). Maybe would need to check with all stuff closed another time.

Then I downloaded a Windows version on some older laptop and it worked fine.

Someone made something similar a few years ago.

Interesting.  Seems to use more traditional style platformer mechanics rather than being physics-based, though.

Finished it. 01:42:35. Tried to go strategically about it but not much place where there are opportunity for it. Faithful for the theme.

Got me flopping for a long long time. Super addicting even though it's not easy to make progress :D
